§ 36.51 DISCONTINUANCE OF UTILITY SERVICE.
   The city shall have the right, upon 30 days written notice to owner, to disconnect and discontinue all utility service to any hotel or motel when such Owner has failed to timely file a tax return and required documentation; failed to timely pay the tax imposed herein together with any penalty as provided herein; failed to maintain and make available to city such books and records as are required to be maintained and made available hereunder; failed to pay any fines and costs imposed for a violation of this subchapter; or otherwise failed to comply with any terms and conditions of this subchapter imposed upon owners. A transfer of ownership of the hotel/motel prior to the payment of fines and court costs shall not impair or defeat the right of the city to discontinue utility services to the hotel/motel that was involved in the violation.
