§ 34.03 SELECTION AND DISCHARGE OF FIRE CHIEF.
   The office of Fire Chief shall not be subject to the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. Pursuant to the authority of ILCS Ch. 65, Act 5, § 10-2.1-4, the office shall be filled by appointment by the Mayor, subject to approval by the City Council, as other appointed city offices.
