§ 34.01 FIRE DEPARTMENT ESTABLISHED.
   There is established an executive department of the government of the city, which shall be known as the Fire Department and shall embrace the Chief of the Fire Department, Assistant Chief of the Fire Department, and such chauffeurs, employees, and firefighters as the City Council may, from time to time, provide.
