(A) All city owned or operated municipal parks and playgrounds shall be closed between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. No person shall be present in any city owned or operated park or playground between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. This prohibition shall not apply to persons present in parks attending city sponsored or city authorized events when those events extend beyond 10 p.m. All such persons shall immediately leave the park at the conclusion of the events.
(B) City parks and playgrounds included in this prohibition shall be as follows: Franklin Park, Marshall Crouse Park, Adkins Park, Lindsay Park, Ashley Brannon Park, Lincoln Park or Civitan Park, Wilcox Park, Washington Park, Dorothy Miller Park, Metropolis Sports Park Complex and American Legion Park.
(C) It shall be unlawful for a parent, legal guardian, or other person having custody or control of a person under the age of 18 to permit or allow the person in his or her custody or control to violate division (A) above.
(D) A person convicted of a violation of any provision of this section shall be fined not less than $100 plus court costs and not more than $750 plus court costs.
