6-4-1: RIGHT OF WAY:
   A.   Crosswalks:
      1.   Except as otherwise provided in this title, the driver of a vehicle shall yield the right of way to a pedestrian crossing the roadway within any marked crosswalk or within any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection.
      2.   Whenever any vehicle has stopped at a marked crosswalk or at any unmarked crosswalk at an intersection to permit a pedestrian to cross the roadway, the driver of any other vehicle approaching from the rear shall not overtake and pass such stopped vehicle.
   B.   Sidewalk: The driver of any motor vehicle, prior to driving over or upon any sidewalk, shall yield the right of way to any pedestrian approaching thereon. (Ord. 12, 8-16-1984)
6-4-2: CROSSING AT OTHER THAN CROSSWALKS:
   A.   Every pedestrian crossing a street or highway at any point other than within a marked crosswalk or within an unmarked crosswalk at an intersection shall yield the right of way to all vehicles upon the street or highway.
   B.   The provisions of this section shall not relieve the driver of a vehicle from the duty to exercise due care for the safety of any pedestrian upon a street or highway.
   C.   It is unlawful for any pedestrian to cross any roadway at any point other than within a crosswalk. (Ord. 12, 8-16-1984)
