(a) The Service Supervisor shall examine, or cause to be examined, every building or structure or portion thereof reported as or believed to be an unsafe building as defined in Section 1458.01.
(b) The Supervisor shall give written notification to the owner of record, including any purchasers under a recorded land contract and to the persons occupying such building if they are not the owners thereof, which shall specifically state the defects that cause the building to be unsafe. Such notification shall also state that the work, either to complete the specified repairs or improvements or to demolish or remove the structure or portion thereof, leaving the premises in a clean, safe and sanitary condition subject to the approval of the Supervisor, shall be completed within thirty days after receipt of such notification, except that in cases of emergency making immediate repairs necessary, the Supervisor may order the changes, repairs, improvements or demolition to be made within a shorter period. The notification shall also require the building or portion thereof to be vacated forthwith by the occupants thereof.
(c) No person shall fail to comply with such notification.
