(a) Whoever violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a minor misdemeanor on a first offense and a misdemeanor of the first degree on a second or subsequent offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation or noncompliance occurs or continues.
(b) A minor misdemeanor is punishable by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00). A misdemeanor of the first degree is punishable by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1, 000) or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both.
