1264.07   STORAGE AND DOCKAGE.
   (a)   Storage,There shall be no dry land storage area except as approved by the Safety Director and Fire Chief, and unless a permit therefor has been issued. The following minimum qualifications shall be met to qualify for the issuance of such permit.
      (1)   Fire hydrants shall be provided for the storage area, such hydrants to be not more than 300 feet apart and the system looped.
      (2)   There shall be a minimum of twelve feet between boats in winter storage.
      (3)   Boats and other material shall be stored more than 150 feet from any residentially zoned property.
      (4)   The storage area shall be screened from the public view by an ornamental fence or by a landscaped enclosure.
      (5)   There shall be no dry land storage between June 1 and September 1 of every year, except for small craft such as dinghies, canoes, rowboats and small sailboats which are normally kept out of the water, unless a special permit has been issued therefor by the Safety Director.
   (b)   Dockage.
      (1)   Docks shall be provided with a standpipe firefighting system as approved by the Fire Chief and/or the chief fire prevention officer in the City.
      (2)   All docks and/or piers shall be of a permanent nature constructed of concrete, steel or aluminum.
      (3)   There shall be no covered dock slips.
