There is hereby established the position of Recreation Director, who shall have the power and authority to supervise the planning, preparation, equipping, operation and maintenance of those recreation facilities deemed necessary by the Parks and Recreation Board. The Director shall be responsible to the Board in the conduct of his duties and responsibilities and shall serve for that period of time and for that compensation as provided by appropriate legislation of the City, in accordance with the recommendation of the Board.
