(a) Uniform maintenance allowances for officers and employees of the Central Communications Division and the Police, Fire and Service Departments shall be as provided from time to time by Council.

(b) Probationary employees who voluntarily leave the employment of the City before completing their probationary period shall have any amounts paid under this section withheld from their final paychecks.
(c) Upon appointment to the City, a new employee shall receive a pro-rata uniform allowance equal to one-twelfth of the annual uniform allowance for each full month of service to be worked prior to the next uniform allowance payment period, which begins in May of each year.
