4-8-7: SIGNS REQUIRED:
   A.   The person in charge of places of employment, public places or other places that are regulated by this chapter shall post in a conspicuous place at each entrance used by members of the public, a sign indicating that smoking is prohibited. The sign shall contain the international symbol for "no smoking" and the words "No Smoking". The sign shall be of such dimensions and other characteristics as the department of commerce shall promulgate by rule in accordance with section 101.123(6), Wisconsin statutes. The sign shall be present whenever the place of employment, public place or other place that is regulated by this chapter is open for business. Each sign and the language therein shall be clearly visible from a distance of at least ten feet (10'). Signs in specific outdoor areas designated as nonsmoking pursuant to section 4-8-5 of this chapter shall be placed so that the general public has reasonable notice of the prohibition.    B.   No person shall remove, deface or destroy any sign required by this section. (Ord. 2006-16, 8-7-2006)
