4-8-3: PROHIBITION OF SMOKING IN PUBLIC PLACES OR OTHER PLACES:
   A.   Except as otherwise provided in section 4-8-6 of this chapter, smoking in any public place, including the following, is prohibited:
      1.   Theaters, libraries, museums, auditoriums, and convention halls, which are used by or open to the public.
      2.   Any childcare facility.
      3.   Retail establishments.
      4.   Healthcare facilities and inpatient healthcare facilities.
      5.   Waiting rooms, hallways, rooms of healthcare laboratories.
      6.   Waiting rooms, hallways, rooms in offices of any physician, dentist, psychologist, chiropractor, optometrist or optician, or other medical services provider.
      7.   Meeting and conference rooms in which people gather for educational, business, professional, union, governmental, recreational, political or social purposes.
      8.   Polling places.
      9.   Private clubs.
      10.   Service lobbies, waiting areas, and the common areas open to the public of financial institutions, business and professional offices, and multi-unit commercial facilities.
      11.   Lodging establishments.
      12.   Self-service laundry facilities.
      13.   Taverns.
      14.   Restaurants.
      15.   Common areas of malls.
      16.   Educational facilities.
      17.   City buildings.
      18.   Residence halls or dormitories owned or operated by a college or university.

      20.   Lobbies, hallways and other common areas in apartment buildings, condominiums, mobile home parks, retirement facilities and other multiple-unit residential properties. (Ord. 2013-07, 4-1-2013)
      21.   All enclosed places, other than those listed above, that are public places.
   B.   Smoking is prohibited in the following places:
      1.   On the premises of a daycare center when children are present.
      2.   Within twenty five feet (25') of a residence hall or dormitory that is owned or operated by the Board Of Regents of the University Of Wisconsin System.
      3.   Sports arenas.
