4-1-6: VIOLATION; PENALTIES:
Any person, firm or corporation who shall knowingly cause or create a nuisance, or permit any nuisance to be created or placed upon or to remain upon any premises owned or occupied by him or them, or in the case of the owner of a dog, who shall permit a dog who is a "nuisance", as herein defined, to run at large within the city, shall, upon conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be punished by a fine as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code, and costs, or by imprisonment for not less than five (5) days nor more than ninety (90) days, or both; provided, that in event of failure to pay any fine or costs assessed upon any person, he may be confined an additional number of days equal to the number of dollars of fine and costs assessed in the case, not to exceed three (3) months.
