A. Violation; Penalties: Violation of a provision of this code is a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, a person may be punished by a fine of not more than seven hundred dollars ($700.00), or such other amount set by law, or imprisonment for a term not to exceed ninety (90) days, or such other term set by law, or both. Each act of violation and each day on which a violation occurs or continues is a separate violation.
B. Definition Of Misdemeanor And Petty Misdemeanor: A "misdemeanor" is an offense or crime that the city council is empowered to punish with fine or imprisonment; a "petty misdemeanor" is as defined by law. (2003 Code)
