In event of the failure to comply with the requirements set forth in this chapter, the city may remove or cause to be cut and removed the same, and the cost of such removal and cutting is to be assessed against the abutting or adjoining property to any sidewalk or alley from which rubbish is removed by the city or its agents, and against private property from which weeds, grass and rubbish are cut or removed by the city. Said assessment shall be collected as provided by the laws of the state. (Ord. 99, 7-6-1982)
