§ 32.01 CONCEALED WEAPONS ON GOVERNMENT PROPERTY.
   (A)   It is hereby declared that the purpose of local government is to serve the people of its jurisdiction to the best of its ability in a spirit of peace and cooperation. It is to assure the safety of the citizens, officers and employees of said government and to solve problems in the positive mood of accord.
   (B)   The Fiscal Court of the county, after due consideration, has determined that this purpose can best be met by the absence of concealed deadly weapons in the places where such proceedings take place.
   (C)   Under the authorization of KRS Chapter 237, the county does hereby prohibit the carrying of concealed weapons into the County Courthouse. The provisions of this section, as enacted under KRS Chapter 237, shall not be deemed to be a violation of KRS 65.870.
      (1)   A sign shall be posted at the entrance(s) of the County Courthouse, which shall be a minimum of 18 inches square and shall read as follows: “The possession of concealed deadly weapons, even with proper permit, is hereby prohibited on this property.”
      (2)   DEADLY WEAPONS, as used in this section, shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
         (a)   Any weapon from which a shot, readily capable of producing death or other serious physical injury, may be discharged;
         (b)   Any knife other than an ordinary pocket knife, i.e., a knife with a blade of four and one-half inches or less;
         (c)   Billy, nightstick or club;
         (d)   Blackjack or slapjack;
         (e)   Nunchaku karate sticks;
         (f)   Shuriken or death star; or
         (g)   Artificial knuckles made from metal, plastic or other similar hard material.
      (3)   Any person or persons violating this section may be denied entrance to the building or ordered to leave the building. Any such violator, who refuses to leave the premises after being ordered to do so, shall be subject to being charged with criminal trespass in the second degree.
      (4)   Any employee of the county government or of any elected official of the county, excluding peace officers, who violates this section shall be subject to employee disciplinary measures.
   (D)   The adoption of this section shall be deemed to serve as public notice that the carrying of concealed deadly weapons shall be prohibited into the County Courthouse and shall also be posted accordingly.
