(A) Pursuant to the provisions of KRS 39F.020(1) and KRS 39F.120(9), it is hereby declared the Paducah-McCracken Co. DES Rescue Squad shall be affiliated with the local disaster and emergency services organization in the county as established pursuant to KRS 39B.050.
(B) With respect to the affiliation of the Paducah-McCracken Co. DES Rescue Squad with the local emergency services organization in the county, it is further declared:
(1) A written agreement between the County Judge/Executive, local Emergency Management Director, and the Chief of the Paducah-McCracken Co. DES Rescue Squad shall be executed annually as the local charter of authorization for the Paducah-McCracken Co. DES Rescue Squad to operate in the county pursuant to KRS 39F.120(9)(a) and (b);
(2) The local Search and Rescue (SAR) Coordinator, designated under the provisions of KRS 39F.200, shall be responsible for annually updating or maintaining the currency of the local charter and securing the signatures of the local officials, as required by KRS 39F.120(9)(a)(b); and
(3) The affiliation agreement is hereby adopted by reference and included herein as fully as if set out at length herein.
