A fire protection district to be known as the Melber - New Hope Fire District is hereby established pursuant to KRS Chapter 75, which district shall cover the following described territory, to-wit: beginning at the four-way stop in Melber, KY (Highway 339 and Highway 1820); thence, with the McCracken-Graves county boundary line, to the intersection of said boundary line with west right-of- way line of U.S. Highway 45; thence, with the west right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 45, northwesterly, to the intersection with the northwesterly right-of-way line of Highway 1241; thence, northwesterly, along a straight line to the intersection of Clinton Road and Wurth Road as described in the Lone Oak Fire Protection District boundary description; thence, along a line, as described in the Lone Oak Fire Protection District Boundary Description cross-country to the Lovelaceville Florence Station Road 500 feet west of Mayfield-Metropolis Road; thence, along a line, as described in the Lone Oak Fire Protection District Boundary Description, continuing to/and crossing New Hope Church Road 0.4 mile west of Mayfield-Metropolis Road, to a point 1,000 feet north of New Hope Church Road; thence, southwesterly, along a straight line to a point on the centerline of the New Hope Church Road at the 90-degree turn, said turn being located approximately 2,200 feet northwest of the centerline intersection of the New Hope Road and the New Hope Church Road; thence, southwesterly, along a straight line, to a point in the intersection of the centerline of the Illinois Central Railway and the centerline of the W. Lovelaceville Florence Station Road; thence, along the centerline of the W. Lovelaceville Florence Station Road, westwardly, to a point 500 feet west of the W. Lovelaceville Florence Station Road-Coleman Cut Road intersection; thence, along a line, said line being 500 feet west and parallel to the centerline of the Coleman Cut Road to a point 3,000 feet north of the centerline of the Mayfield Drainage Canal; thence, due east to the east right-of-way of the Illinois Central Railway; thence, southwardly, along the east right-of-way of the Illinois Central Railway to the intersection with the centerline of the Mayfield Drainage Canal; thence, westwardly, along the centerline of the Mayfield Drainage Canal to the intersection with the Carlisle County boundary line; thence, southeastwardly, along the Carlisle County boundary line, to the intersection of the Carlisle County boundary line with the Graves County and the county boundary lines; thence, eastwardly, along the McCracken-Graves county boundary line to the point of beginning.
