(A) The County Fiscal Court may contract with a certified electrical inspector to provide electrical plan review and inspection services for new construction, additions, remodels, repairs, upgrades, and other projects requiring electrical permits.
(B) An electrical permit fee shall be required before any electric work commences, with the fee set at $25.
(C) The electrical contractor, property owner, or other person responsible for the electrical work shall be responsible for the payment of established fees to the electrical inspector. The electrical inspector shall be responsible for the collection of said fees.
(D) A certificate of inspection, certificate of compliance, or other forms of final approval of an electrical construction, installation, alteration, or repair shall not be issued by the inspector until all fees required by this section have been paid.
(E) Copies of the inspection documentation and the certificate of compliance shall be provided to the County Inspection Department.
(F) The fees for electrical plan review and/or inspection shall be as follows:
(1) The fee for an electrical plan review, if required, shall be $125.
(2) The fee for a certificate of occupancy inspection on an existing building shall be $75.
(3) If the inspector must return to the project to inspect work that should have been completed following a previous inspection within an allotted time frame and the work was not completed within the allotted time frame, the inspector may charge an additional $100 fee for each trip to the project to inspect said uncompleted work.
(4) The fee to inspect electrical work having a complete value of less than $8,000 shall be $125.
(5) The fee to inspect electrical work having a complete value of more than $8,000 but less than $16,500 shall be $250.
(6) The fee to inspect electrical work having a complete value of more than $16,500 but less than $25,000 shall be $500.
(7) The fee to inspect electrical work having a completed value of $25,000 or more shall be calculated as a percentage of the completed value of the work in accordance with the schedule established in this section.
