§ 70.07 INSURANCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   Any person, entity or business applying for a building or electrical permit or performing work under said permit shall be required to provide their Kentucky Employer ID number and proof of Worker’s Compensation Insurance for workers to be employed to perform work or sub-contracted under said permit or as provided for in KRS 198B.060(10)(a). Anyone performing electrical work shall provide proof of liability insurance in the amount of $250,000. The applicant for said building or electrical permit will be required to list all persons entities, or businesses that will be employed or sub-contracted to perform work under any building or electrical permit.
   (B)   The applicant for any building permit must secure a release from the County Planning and Zoning Administrator, the County Health Department, the County Tax Administrator and the County Floodplain Administrator, if applicable, before a permit may be issued.
   (C)   It is expressly provided that any private citizen who undertakes to construct a single-family dwelling for his or her own personal residence, and not intended for resale, shall be exempted from the worker’s compensation/unemployment insurance provisions of this section; however, any sub-contractors for hire by such private citizen shall be required to comply with the requirements of this section hereof.
