(A) Circuit Court fees. Pursuant to KRS Chapter 23A, the County Fiscal Court assesses the following additional fees for the purpose of paying expenses for the courthouse, its courthouse bonds, and administrative expenses as follows.
(1) In civil cases; a fee of $25 shall be added to filing fees.
(2) In criminal cases, a cost of $25 shall be added to the court costs that the defendant is required to pay.
(3) In civil cases that are appealed from the Circuit Court to the Court of Appeals, a fee of $25 shall be added to the filing fees.
(B) District Court fees. Pursuant to KRS Chapter 24A, the County Fiscal Court assesses the following additional fees for the purpose of paying expenses for the courthouse, its courthouse bonds and administrative expenses as follows:
(1) In all traffic offense cases, a fee of $10 shall be added to the court costs.
(2) In probate cases, a filing fee of $10 shall be added to the court costs.
(3) In misdemeanor cases, a cost of $20 shall be added to the court costs.
(4) In small claims cases, a fee of $10 shall be added to all filing fees.
(5) In civil cases, a fee of $10 shall be added to all filing fees.
(C) Sheriff fees. Pursuant to KRS Chapter 64, the County Fiscal Court assesses the following additional fees on subpoena and civil summons service by the Sheriff for the purpose of paying expenses for the courthouse, its courthouse bonds, and administrative expenses of the courthouse as follows.
(1) In addition to the fees normally charged for the service of a subpoena, the person requesting service shall be charged a fee of $10.
(2) In addition to the fees normally charged for the service of a civil summons, the person requesting service shall be charged a fee of $10.
(D) Administration. Nothing in this section shall change all other fee allocations allowed by statute. This section shall be in full force and effect on the first day of July 2002. Hereafter, the Clerk of the Circuit and District Court and the County Sheriff shall no later than monthly remit the Finance and Administration Cabinet, or the County Treasurer, as appropriate, all the increase fees set forth herein. The Fiscal Court shall expend said fees for the purposes set forth.
