§ 72.50 REMOVAL OF ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES.
   (A)   Whenever any police officer shall find a vehicle standing upon a street or alley in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter, the individual may remove or have the vehicle removed, or require the driver or other person in charge of the vehicle to move the vehicle, to a position off the roadway of the street or alley or from the street or alley.
   (B)   The owner or other person lawfully entitled to the possession of the vehicle may be charged with the reasonable cost for the removal and storage, payable before the vehicle is released. Any towing or storage fee shall become a security interest in the vehicle prior to all other claims. This fee shall be in addition to any other fees or penalties owed the city for the vehicle.
