§ 52.07 WATER USE RESTRICTIONS.
Immediately upon the occurrence of a fire alarm, all persons shall cease using water for all but domestic purposes and shall not resume other uses until notice or permission has been given by the city. No person shall turn the water on or off at any premises owned or controlled by him or her without first giving the Utilities Director written notice of his or her intention and securing written permission to do so. In case of a general water shortage, the use of water for domestic purposes shall take precedence over its use for all other purposes. Furthermore, the city may establish other water use priorities beneath domestic use as it may deem necessary and appropriate in dealing with a water shortage. Also in dealing with a water shortage, the city may establish such rationing procedures as it may deem necessary and appropriate in dealing with the water shortage.
