The construction, repair, and maintenance of all sewers, drains and cesspools, whether public or private, shall be under the supervision and control of the Superintendent. The Office of the Superintendent may be combined with any other office at any time by resolution of the City Council and the person performing such duties shall receive the compensation as the Council shall fix at the time the combination is made. SEWER SUPERVISOR or SEWER INSPECTOR are used in this chapter, they shall be understood to mean the Superintendent.
