Whenever a parcel of land is subdivided into lots containing one or more acres and there are indications that such lots will eventually be subdivided into smaller building sites, the Village Board may require that such parcels of land be divided so as to allow for the future opening of streets and the ultimate extensions of adjacent streets. Easements providing for the future opening and extension of such streets may be made a requirement of the plat.
