The Planning and Zoning Board, in the examination of subdivision plats for approval, and in the application of this chapter, shall take into consideration the requirements of the community and the best use of the land being subdivided. Particular attention shall be given to width and location of streets, suitability of sanitary utilities, surface drainage, lot sizes and arrangements.
