§ 32.15 PREAMBLE; STANDING COMMITTEE; PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR.
   (A)   A Program Administrator is hereby appointed with authority to develop, approve and implement all programs to comply with federal and state identity theft protection programs.
   (B)   This subchapter reflects a finding by the village that identity theft is an issue affecting municipal constituents. While open and transparent action by local authorities is necessary for effective government, it leaves municipalities vulnerable to the risks associated with identity theft. In order to more effectively deal with this issue, the village has appointed a Program Administrator to head a standing Identity Theft Committee. This Committee will be responsible for developing and implementing any necessary and required plans or programs and their periodic amendment. The following plans minimize identity theft risk, educate employees on signs of identity theft and protect consumers.
