(A) The Village Board hereby adopts § 11-1304.5 (625 ILCS 5/11-1304.5) and § 16-102.5 (625 ILCS 5/16-102.5) of the State Vehicle Code by reference, and incorporates the same as though set forth herein. These sections are related to the regulation of vehicles upon any public street, highway or roadway which has displayed an expired Illinois registration plate or plates or registration sticker.
(B) Any law enforcement officer employed by or contracted with the village is hereby authorized and empowered to enforce the provisions of this section.
