§ 51.060 REMOVAL OR DISCONNECTION OF WATER METERS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to disconnect or remove any water meter currently attached to or in use with the water supply of the village or in any area under the jurisdiction of said village without first notifying and receiving permission from the Director of Public Works.
   (B)   Notwithstanding the provisions of division (A) above, it shall not be unlawful for any person to remove or disconnect any water meter in the event of an emergency threatening life or property where removal or disconnection of said water meter is required for the protection of life or property.
   (C)   In the event that a water meter as above described is removed or disconnected as a result of a delinquent water charge the village will assess a fee of $100 for replacing or reconnecting said water meter.
