§ 151.03 SUBDIVISION PLATS.
   (A)   Required. All persons subdividing any piece or parcel of land, block, lot or sub-lot, or any part thereof, in the Village shall make a map or plat thereof, and before recording the same with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, as provided by law, shall submit the same, with 3 additional copies thereof, to the Board of Trustees for their approval or rejection, as the Board of Trustees may deem proper. If approved, such approval shall be certified thereon, and signed by the President and attested by the Village Clerk; and no such map or plat shall be valid or entitled to record until it shall have been approved as aforesaid.
   (B)   Custody and approval. The duplicate of such map or plat as provided in this section shall be kept on file by the Village Clerk for the use and benefit of the Village. No such map or plat shall be approved as aforesaid until it shall have been properly certified by a surveyor and acknowledged by the owner, as provided by the laws of the state.
   (C)   Recordation. The person submitting such map or plat as required by this section thereupon shall immediately deposit with the Village Clerk the legal fee for recording the same, and the Clerk shall, as soon as possible thereafter, record it in the Recorder's office of the county. Such person shall also at the same time deposit with the Clerk a reasonable fee for placing such map or plat upon the official plat or atlas of the Village.
