909.75 CONSTRUCTION PERMIT FEE.
   (a)   Prior to the issuance of a construction permit, the permit holder shall pay a permit fee equal to three hundred dollars ($300.00) or such other amount determined by a schedule of fees adopted by the Mayor.
   (b)   The Mayor shall appoint an inspector to inspect all sites covered by the construction permit during the course of the construction, reconstruction, installation, maintenance, repair or excavation, the cost of which shall be paid by the Permit Holder. The estimated cost of inspection shall be based on the initial hourly rate set by the City and shall be deposited with the City prior to commencing any work, provided, however, that in the event the projected cost of inspection at any time exceeds the amount on deposit, the permit holder shall deposit additional funds to bring the deposit equal to the revised projected cost of inspection, within ten days of written notice to the permit holder. Failure to comply with the written demand to bring the inspection deposit current shall be cause to stop all work until such notice is complied with. The City may require additional inspections at its sole discretion.
