759.10 PURCHASE OF MECHANICS' TOOLS.
   When any person presents to a pawnbroker any implement or tool commonly used by mechanics for the purpose of pledging the same as security for a loan, the pawnbroker shall require such person to give proof that he or she is the owner of the tools. When the tools are stamped with a name or any initials or symbols, the pawnbroker shall require the person offering such tool or implement to produce the stamp by which such name, initials or symbols were imprinted. If unable to produce the stamp, the person shall be required to establish his or her identity.
