759.04 RECORDS; INSPECTION.
   Every person licensed under this chapter shall keep and use such books and forms as are approved by the Superintendent of the Division of Consumer Finance in the Department of Commerce, which disclose, at the time each purchase or loan is made, an accurate description of the goods, articles or things deposited, the time of pledging or selling the same, the amount of money loaned thereon or paid therefor, the rate of interest and charges to be paid on such loan and the time within which such pawn is to be redeemed, with the name, age, place of residence, driver's license number or other personal identification and a short description of the person of the pledgor or seller. When any watch is pledged or sold, the pawnbroker shall also write in such book the name of the maker or other identifying features and, where jewelry or gold or silver articles of any kind are pledged or sold, the licensee shall write in the book all identifying letters or marks inscribed thereon. Such book shall, at all times, be open to the inspection of the Chief of Police or a police officer deputized by him or her or the Mayor. Upon demand of any of them, the person so licensed shall produce and show an article thus listed and described which is in his or her possession.
