337.31 STOP LIGHTS AND DIRECTIONAL TURN SIGNALS.
   (a)   As provided by Sections 331.13(d) and 337.06, any motor vehicle may be equipped, and when required shall be equipped, with stop lights on the rear which may be incorporated with the tail light and which, when actuated by application of the service (foot) brake, shall illuminate and emit a red light visible from a distance of 500 feet to the rear of such vehicle, provided that in the case of a train of vehicles, only the stop light of the rearmost vehicle need be visible from the distance specified.
   (b)   As provided by Sections 331.13(d) and Ohio R.C. 4513.261, any motor vehicle may be equipped, and when required shall be equipped, with directional turn signals capable of clearly indicating an intention to turn either to the right or to the left and which shall be visible from both the front and rear. When actuated, the turn signals shall illuminate and emit a white or amber light to the front of such vehicle and a red light to the rear of such vehicle.
   (c)   Stop lights and directional turn signals, when lawfully required, or used as provided in Section 331.13(d) to indicate a stop or turn signal, shall be maintained in good working order. No stop lights or directional turn signals shall project a glaring or dazzling light when illuminated.
