(a) The Mayor is hereby authorized to amend the employee recognition program for officials and employees to provide for honoring any employee who performs his or her duties in an exemplary manner.
(b) The expenditures for this purpose shall be paid from funds appropriated from the General Fund and earmarked for this purpose.
(c) The Mayor, at his or her discretion, may purchase or pay for such items as a plaque, service pin, recognition luncheon or dinner, or other such expenditure in keeping with the objective of this program. An annual report shall be provided to Council of all such disbursements.
