(a) Leasing for Business Occupancy; Restrictions. No owner, operator or agent shall occupy, rent or lease, or offer for rental or lease, any business structure or part thereof which does not comply with this Business Maintenance Code.
(b) Owners. The owner of every building or structure or his or her authorized agent shall be responsible for maintaining in a clean, safe and sanitary condition the shared or common areas of the premises, including all yard areas, walks, driveways and parking lots.
(c) Occupants. The occupant of any building or structure shall be responsible for maintaining in a clean, safe and sanitary condition that part of the premises which he or she occupies and controls.
