All permanent air conditioning equipment, condensers and heat exchangers, other than those designed for window installation, installed in or in connection with a residential structure, shall be entirely within the building structure, unless the nature, design or operation of a permanent air conditioning system requires that it be partially located outside the building structure, in which case it shall be located to the rear or side of the structure and building lot. Any such unit placed on the rear of a structure, shall be not closer than 15 feet to the rear lot line. Any such unit placed on the side of a structure shall not be placed within 15 feet of a dwelling house located on adjoining premises and shall be placed at least five feet from the side yard line Any unit placed on the side of a structure shall be screened by a fence or evergreen hedge, which is 80% or more solid, to screen the view from any public or private roadway.
