(A) The Mayor and Council members shall be compensated at a rate as set forth from time to time by ordinance.
(B) Unless a later date is established in any ordinance changing the salary of the Mayor and of the Council, no change in salary enacted, pursuant to the authority granted in M.S. § 415.11, as it may be amended from time to time, shall take effect until after the next succeeding municipal election, and until that date the salaries of the Mayor and of the Council shall remain as last previously established.
