SECTION 1 EFFECTIVE DATE OF CHARTER.

For the purpose of nominating and electing officers of the Municipality and fixing the compensation of those to be elected in 1951, this Charter shall be in effect from and after the date of its approval by the electors of the Municipality. For all other purposes the Charter shall be in effect on and after the first day of January, 1952.
