(a) Prior to the operation of an Under Speed Vehicle on City streets, the Under Speed Vehicle must pass an inspection conducted by an authorized agency in accordance with the standard established by the Ohio Revised Code.
(b) At the time of the inspection, the owner/operator of the Under Speed Vehicle must present the following to such inspecting agency along with any agency specific requirements:
(1) A valid driver's license,
(2) Proof of insurance relating to the use of the Under Speed Vehicle,
(3) Proof of registration, and
(4) Gross vehicle weight.
(c) If an Under Speed Vehicle passes inspection, the owner/operator will be permitted to operate the Under Speed Vehicle on City streets.

(d) Inspection Program. The Maumee Police Division is hereby directed and empowered to provide for an “Underspeed Vehicle/Golf Cart” Inspection Program, upon the rules and regulations as established by the Maumee Police Division. A fee of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) shall be charged for the initial inspection and a fee of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) shall be paid for any vehicle needing to be re-inspected after a failed inspection.
