(a) No person, while within any mercantile establishment within this City, shall knowingly do either of the following:
(1) Conceal on or about his person any property of such establishment, without the express consent of the owner or a person authorized to give consent;
(2) Remove, deface, alter or conceal any price tag, sticker or other price designation on any property of such establishment, without the express consent of the owner or a person authorized to give consent.
(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of improper handling of mercantile property, a minor misdemeanor.
