Flammable and combustible liquid above ground storage tanks shall comply with the provisions of Rules 22, 27, 31, and 34, of the Ohio Fire Code, except as modified herein.
(a) Individual above-ground storage tanks shall be limited to 12,000 gallons capacity, regardless of class of liquid. Total aggregate capacity shall be limited to 24,000 gallons regardless of class of liquid. Installations with the maximum allowable capacity shall be separated from other such installations by not less than 100 feet.
(b) All above-ground tanks for the storage of combustible or flammable liquids as noted in this section shall be located no closer than 100 feet in any direction from any building, dwelling unit, public way, or any property or lot line which can be built upon.
(c) The Bureau of Fire Prevention shall designate fire hazard identification signs required to be installed on or near the above-ground vault.
(d) A site drawing with all necessary measurements shall be submitted to and approved by the Bureau of Fire Prevention prior to installation.
