The Director of Finance is hereby authorized to pay such sums as are provided by ordinance of Council for services rendered by funeral directors to bury indigent dead residents of the City at the time of death in accordance with the rules and regulations established by the Director of Public Service and approved by Council. The aforementioned residency requirement may be waived by the Director of Public Service and the Director of Finance.
