909.26 AWNING REGULATIONS.
   Awnings now erected, or maintained or which shall hereafter be erected or maintained and which project over any part of the right-of-way shall be at an elevation of not less than seven feet at the lowest part above the surface of the walk and shall not project over such walk more than three-quarters of the width of such walk; they shall be supported without posts, by metal brackets or proper hinges or pivots, with metal framework attached firmly to the buildings, and the walk shall be wholly unobstructed thereby. Provision shall be made so that the awnings can be rolled or folded flat against the building, no part of the awning being less than seven feet above the surface of the walk. No poster or means of advertising shall be attached on any awning so as to come nearer the surface of the walk than seven feet.
