351.20 PARKING IN MUNICIPAL PARKING LOTS.
   (a)    No person shall leave any motor vehicle in a Municipal parking lot for forty-eight hours or longer without notification to the Chief of Police or the Chief's designee of the reason for leaving the motor vehicle in such place and receiving authorization from the Chief of Police or the Chief's designee to exceed the forty-eight hour limit.
      (1)    For purposes of this section a Municipal Parking lot shall be any parking lot maintained by the city of Maumee and contains signage advising of same.
   (b)    Notwithstanding other provisions of this section, no person shall stand or park a motor vehicle in a Municipal parking lot where signs prohibit standing or parking in excess of the maximum time limited by signs.
   (c)    Whenever any police officer finds an unattended motor vehicle left in a Municipal parking lot in violation of this section, such officer may provide for the removal of such vehicle to the nearest garage or other place of safety.
   (d)    Whoever violated any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall also be assessed all costs incurred by the Municipality in removing and storing a motor vehicle pursuant to this section.
