(a) Fire Lanes on Private Property Devoted to Public Use. The Director of Public Safety is authorized to designate fire lanes, routes and exits on private property devoted to public use such as but not limited to shopping centers, bowling lanes, theatres, hospitals, schools, churches, recreation centers and similar uses where parking of vehicles or other obstructions may interfere with the ingress and egress of fire protection equipment or the evacuation of persons from such buildings or premises.
(b) Parking Prohibited in Fire Lanes, Routes and Exits. The Director of Public Safety is hereby authorized to erect signs indicating no parking within any designated fire lanes, routes and exits on private property.
