305.05 RESTRICTING OR PROHIBITING PARKING.
   (a)   Parking Adjacent to Schools. The Director of Public Safety is hereby authorized to erect signs indicating no parking upon that side of any street adjacent to any school property when such parking would, in his opinion, interfere with traffic or create a hazardous situation.
   (b)   Parking Prohibited on Narrow Streets. The Director of Public Safety is hereby authorized to erect signs indicating no parking upon any street when the width of the roadway does not exceed twenty feet, or upon one side of a street as indicated by such signs when the width of the roadway does not exceed thirty feet.
   (c)   Standing or Parking on One-way Streets. The Director of Public Safety is authorized to erect signs upon the left-hand side of any one-way street to prohibit the standing or parking of vehicles thereon.
   (d)   No Stopping, Standing or Parking Near Hazardous or Congested Places. The Director of Public Safety is hereby authorized to determine and designate by proper signs, places in which the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles would create an especially hazardous condition or would cause unusual delay to traffic.
   (e)   Signs or Markings Indicating Prohibited or Restricted Parking. The Director of Public Safety shall determine and designate the streets and/or portions of streets upon which parking shall be prohibited or restricted, and he shall mark or sign each block in such streets in accordance with such determination.
   Each and every period of continued parking in excess of the time specified on such sign shall constitute a separate violation and shall be punishable as a separate offense.
   Whenever by any provision of this Traffic Code any time-limit parking is imposed, it shall be the duty of the Director of Public Safety to erect appropriate signs giving notice thereof, and no such provision shall be effective until such signs are erected.
