§ 34.024 RETIREMENT.
   (A)   All patrol officers, officers and Chiefs of Police of the Police Department may retire from active service upon reaching the age of 63 years.
   (B)   All patrol officers, officers and Chiefs of Police of the Police Department shall be retired from the Police Department upon reaching the age of 65 years.
