§ 34.003 FEE FOR POLICE AND FIRE EXAMINATION APPLICANTS.
   (A)   The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners shall require that each applicant for the position of Patrolman and each applicant for the position of Fireman pay the sum of $20 as a fee for the purpose of defraying a portion of the cost of the consultant.
   (B)   The fee shall be paid by the applicant not less than ten days prior to the date of the examination, which date may be extended for just cause at the discretion of the Chairperson of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.
   (C)   That all sums collected pursuant to this section shall be remitted to the Office of the City Clerk for deposit in the general fund of the city within three days of payment.
