(A) The fee for a permit for the drilling or putting down of each well for the purpose of producing oil and/or gas within the corporate limits of the city for unplatted blocks shall be $500, and for blocks which are platted within the corporate limits of the city or for any block which consists partly of platted land and partly of unplatted land shall be $2000.

(B) All fees received under this chapter shall be paid or turned over to the City Treasurer, and by him deposited in the contingent fund of the city.
